- Obtain AMI image
- Share Account with Privafy
- Verify AMI was published to your AWS Account
- Note: We are publishing to the AWS and other stores and this requirement will go away
- Create and send yourself a CloudEdge Activation Code
- Reference Privafy Central “Create CloudEdge Activation Code” instruction
- Privafy provides a Detailed Deployment Guide (contact support@) that provides granular step-by-step instructions based on multiple deployment methods
- This will show how to deploy using the Amazon AWS Wizard

Identify the Privafy CloudEdge Image EC2/ IMAGES/AMIs

Verify the source of the image and Launch

Select “General purpose t2.medium” instance

Configure Instance Details

Configure the network Interfaces and other instance Details – Ensure that the CloudEdge VPC is chosen and the Internet facing Subnet is chosen as subnet

Add Storage as 8 GB on Next Screen

Finalizing Your CloudEdge Configuration

Change default route of Enterprise facing route table to eth1 interface of the CloudEdge

Create a new DHCP Option Set for your VPC

Update the CloudEdge Instance Security Group

Disable Check Source/Dest Check at the Instance and eth1

Allocate Internet facing IP for the Instance

At this time your instance is fully configured and ready to be used. You or an admin that manages the Privafy Dashboard should be able to see your newly deployed CloudEdge and Activate as shown below.
